Almost Wordless Wednesday

Lately, I've been dreaming a lot about my Grandmother.  I don't know why, but I thought I'd put up a couple of pictures of her.  I miss her, she's been gone since 1990.  If only she'd have lasted a few more years till I got married.

My Grandmother, Rose, (whom Rosie is named after), and my Grandfather, Frank Flora on October 1, 1930.
 Below, in the 80's.

I have times like that when I have dreams about family who passed away a while ago - I still haven't figured out what it means other than they have been on my mind. My guess is that is the same for you.

I love looking at photos of our family, especially ones such as these, everyone always looked more elegant than any of our recent photos. Maybe it's because they had to pose for so long? Beautiful photos, glad to say I remember them, even if I was much younger then. I know they are looking at you and smiling today. :)

It's a testament to your grandmother that you still miss her after all this time. She must have been a wonderful lady. Those wedding pictures from the '30s are very cool, too. I love the wedding dress.

I wonder what your Grandmother Rose would say if she knew she'd just been the subject of a blog post? She's smiling down on you knowing that you still miss her.

How strange. I woke up this morning with a song in my head that I haven't heard since I was 7 or so. Must be random brain fluctuations all round the world :-)

Au is eating 3 times as much as he was on Monday. This FIV miracle drug he's testing seems to be working. We're over the moon!

Cindy, what a lovely grandmother! I know, I have times when memories or people who've passed come to me, either in dreams or a moment. I'm glad you came by to visit Tom's blog. He's a character!

Take care,
Julie

I never knew my grandparents, they had all passed away long before I was born.
Your Grandmother was beautiful. I love looking at old pictures such as these. I wish I had more old family pictures. I have very few.

I love the wedding pic - I have just been including some old pics in a dollshouse renovation I am doing.
I never knew my grandmother but find myself now wondering more about her - should have asked my mum whilst she was still here.
Thank you for the nice comment on our blog - we still hope to drop by our friends now and again.
the blog was just beginning to take up so much time............!!!
