Visit Charlotte & Ginger for Spiritual Sundays

http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/

Here is a verse from the Bible that I often think of when I know I am saying something unsavory, or being short with others. Especially when I am driving!

Matthew 12:35
35The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. 36But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."

Ever since I saw Bruce's blog, Bruce's Paws,
I have wanted a picture like that with Henry and Rosie. This is my first attempt. I hope Bruce's beans servants don't mind.

Hound Dog Thursday

Thursday, November 26, 2009

Charlie says, "Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope your beans drop some turkey."

I've always wanted a good picture of the animals. They are always turning away, closing their eyes, licking some body part, etc., etc.

I love this picture of Charlie. It is almost perfect.

CATS ON TUESDAY

Tuesday, November 24, 2009

Cats on Tuesday with Gattina!
visit her at:
http://www.gattinamycats.blogspot.com/

Rosie is going to the vet on Wednesday. She has an allergy that often requires her get a shot. I am so tired of watching her scratch and bite herself. By Wednesday night she should start feeling better.
Rosie likes to sit on tables
Emma made a "house" out of her blocks for Rosie and a nice, soft blankie. Rosie loves it.

Once again I shall showcase a photo of the felines in the window series. This one is just after Henry got smacked by Rosie.

Blue Monday & ManCat Monday

Monday, November 23, 2009
Henry says,
"Join me for ManCat Monday. See if you're as ManCatly as me!"

Scroll down for Blue Monday with Sally.

I love the way Henry's white whiskers show up on his black fur. See his eyebrows? They remind me of an old man's eyebrows.

Side view of whiskers.

Once again, here is my young man with my ManCat.

Here is an older photo after we moved into our new house. We have a great swing set with a fort and a huge slide.

My young man again wearing a blue t-shirt, (in the woods I keep posting about.!)

Not terribly blue, a road sign in Alice Springs, Australia

Nature Walk

Saturday, November 21, 2009
The last couple of days we have been going to the town woods to go on our daily walk. It is beautiful in the summer with all the green leaves and birds chirping in the trees. Now it is fall and all the leaves are down, crunching under your feet as you walk. We've not gone in the winter snows yet.

Here are a few photos of the kids and I meandering through the forest with my Mom.

This is such a beautiful place in the summer when everything is in bloom

Mom says this was the type of tree that her family used to use for
their Christmas trees.

Photo Hunters: Birds

Today is Saturday
Photo Hunters: Birds
Henry was very excited looking outside on our porch
at a sweet little birdy.
I don't know what he would do if he saw geese close up.

These birds looks nice and tasty!

I think seagulls would scare him with all their noisy squawking.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Show & Tell Friday

Friday, November 20, 2009

It's Friday again, so it is time for Show & Tell Friday with Cindy over at My Romantic Home

Today I am showing some jewelry that Jim bought back from China. The pictures did not come out very good, but you get the gist.

This is a nice bracelet, but I don't know what it is made of.

These are freshwater Pearls.

This is Emma's necklace, the year of the horse. In Jade.
This is my necklace. I am the year of the Bull.

Hound Dog Thursday

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Charlie says, "Join us for Hound Dog
Thursday."

I like this one because he is running and his ears are flapping.Charlie never pushes Henry off his bed, he just shares it.
Where Charlie goes, Henry follows.

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Is this any way for a ManCat to be treated?

This is a puzzle that Emma likes to do of the United States. It's great not only because she is learning her states, but the shapes of them as well.
Last week we went for a lovely walk in the woods. This is a photo of Evan and my Mother.

A Day Of Rest?

Sunday, November 15, 2009

"How can a cat have a day of rest when the windows are open and there is so much to smell?"

and on the seventh day he rested

Photo Hunters: Music

Saturday, November 14, 2009

Today is Photo Hunters Day
The theme: Music

We are a musical home. My husband plays the piano and drums. I play the piano and guitar as well. My son tinkers with the guitar and piano. So when I found out that today's theme is Music, so I had to include others in the household who are musically inclined. Here you will notice my felines with my guitar, our old-fashioned stereo in the background. Try not to notice all the new tech wires hanging.
Rosie is always the first to get into the groove. I believe their first song was "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat" from the "Aristocats"
