The reason I ask is that I thought of kidneys. A lot of times older kitties get kidney failure, which is an inability of the kidneys to concentrate urine. That means every time they pee, they pee out more water than in health. I am unfortunately well acquainted with CRF (chronic renal failure) but certainly not trying to needlessly worry you. Maybe another thought is for her to have her own litter box. Good luck! We're very jealous of Rosie's trim weight. Just try not to leave plastic or crinkly sitting around - make all the areas other than her litter box unappealing for her. Meanwhile, make her litter box as clean and appealing as possible - no hood and a low entry way to make it easy for her to get in and out - and maybe get one or two extras and put them in different places so she doesn't have as far to go to find a place to go.Sparklehttp://www.sparklecat.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5132152690145230614.post-322598589334266992010-08-24T12:50:25.282-04:002010-08-24T12:50:25.282-04:00Henry says that Rosie tells him (on the sly) that ...Henry says that Rosie tells him (on the sly) that she's just trying to get me (her Dad) to change the litters more often.JEDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07538398157297345338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5132152690145230614.post-73902235171286712222010-08-24T11:01:55.851-04:002010-08-24T11:01:55.851-04:00Can you try changing the litter to see if that'...Can you try changing the litter to see if that's the problem.Hannah and Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01349810117072020253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5132152690145230614.post-24959017354204327562010-08-24T10:34:05.488-04:002010-08-24T10:34:05.488-04:00My vet said I should have as many cat boxes as I h...My vet said I should have as many cat boxes as I have cats. We are going through the same dilemma right now, with Cricket. She's about a year old. Our dad is getting VERY fed up with her, but he knows he'll break Wren's heart if he gets rid of her. Mom is going to make a vet appt. for her and see if there's crystals involved or if it's behavioral. If so, mom will try another litterbox and see if that works. She seems to go on the computer room floor (the same room the box is in), mom and dad's bedroom floor in the corner, and the downstairs bathroom sink. It's just pee though. Good luck Rosie!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5132152690145230614.post-4024742469198937442010-08-24T08:39:28.245-04:002010-08-24T08:39:28.245-04:00How old is Rosie? Dollycat was old too when she started doing it and would poo outside the box, Mumtried alsorts and sed to think it was because I had come along but now thinks it was just because she was getting old. Mum started spraying stuff that was meant to deter around the places she went and it seemed to help as Dollycat started using her tray again. Hope it gets sorted for you..
