We had a wonderful package that came in the mail from our Santa Paws friends, Angel, Kirby and Mon Nan of awizardandanangel.blogspot.com! Needless to say, Henry and Rosie loved all the cool stuff in it!

Here is an overview of all the stuff we got! Tinkle balls galore, treats, a feather wand which we fight over, and a pop-up tent with holes which Rosie loves! There is even a mouse that you fill up with nip!

Rosie went right in!

Mommy even got two magnets with cats on them!

Sorry we have not been around lately. We miss evfurryone and are firing our mother!

Here are a few pictures of me at the vet. As you can see in my blurry close-up, I am NOT a happy camper.

I am too fat, the vet said, and unless I want to get Diabetes had better slim down, because I am 18 pounds of ManCat! Mommy thought I was more than that.. How am I supposed to do that?? I am to have 1/4 cup of food in the morning and 1/4 in the evening. That's it! Do you know how small of an amount that is?? How will I survive??

I'm So Old I Don't Have To Get Shots Anymore!!

When I went to the v.e.t. in September for my annual visit, he told my mommy I didn't have to get any distemper shots or any shots anymore!! Because I'm OLD!! That's right, I'm old. I'm an old lady cat, 17 3/4 years old and in perfect health he said! I haven't even needed allergy shots. But he tried to cut my toenails that curl under into the pads on my toes and I swiped at him. That's right, yes I did. I tried to bite him and hit him. That's what he gets. Here are some pictures from that day.

You Know You're Old When....

You know you are old when they start treating you special. For instance...

They wrap you up in a blankie and say you're cold, just because Grandma gets cold and gets under a blankie.

No matter what you do, they ooh and ahh.


They make you do everything with them, like dancing!

One of the perks is....they let you eat stuff they never would have when you were a young cat.... like CAKE!

It's Henry's Birth Month

We only know that Henry was born sometime in October to a feral mama. Somehow, a year escaped us. We thought he was turning 6 this month, but after looking at his baby pictures realized that he is actually turning 7! Where did the time go?

So here are a few baby pictures along with his birthday celebration.

Henry here: I have officially fired my human secretary. She is too busy to keep up with all my activities. She will have to grovel at my paws now if she wants the job back!

The problem is, he can't fit. He is so long that part of him hangs off one of the edges. So, Evan put a second pillow next to the first so Henry could spread out.

Bad Mama

I am a bad mother. Poor, little Rose turned 17 last Monday, and I didn't post anything about her. No cakes, parties or anything!!

Ignore the hair on mommy!

Emma took a few pictures that day, me lying on the couch and Rosie butting up against my head. That was always her favorite position at night, in my hair. That is when she was able to jump up on the bed.

We took Rosie to the vet on Saturday. She had the itchies again along her spine. She got her miracle shot which also helps her arthritis that is in her hips and right leg. So now she is walking, jumping up more, and oddly enough, being extremely vocal. My mother has been getting serenaded at all hours of the night. I don't know if she wants mom to play her, feed her, or just let her roam around her house.

Rosie is down to 8.3 pounds. I knew she was loosing weight, and have been worried, but I was still shocked when I heard her weight. She is always at her dish eating The vet says she is fine, no diabetes or anything like that. Next month she'll go in for more blood work to check her thyroid. That may be why she is always hungry. Please purr for her. I know she is old, but she is my baby.

I keep forgetting to mention that we stopped giving Rosie Dasuquin for joints in the baby food and brought up a kitty litter box to the first floor. No more pee problems. So, I am going to reintroduce the medicine again, because she is really wobbly at times. We shall see.

Daisy Mae Maus was our Secret Santa Paws. I cannot tell you how wonderful she and her servant are! There were 2 beautiful stockings filled to the brim with toys and nip for us! Not to mention Temptations and Fancy Feasts, oh my!! As you can see from the pictures, we were thrilled. (Rosie will show you tomorrow how happy she was if mommy can get the video up!)

I had to go to the vet yesterday. Mommy is tired of me peeing everywhere. He thinks the cortisone shots he is giving me for my joints and hip and allergies could be a cause. I could have a bladder infection, so he took blood and pee and will let mommy know tomorrow. A few of my nails are growing curled into the pads on my toesies so I am going to take an anitbiotic. Mommy hopes it will help both things.


By the way, I don't like to dance.

On another note, mommy is having radiation in the afternoons and teaches the beans school in the mornings, so she hasn't been leaving comments. Please be assured she is reading the posts and will comment when she has time.

Oh Rosie. Why do you have to make such a mess when you eat? Is it the flat face, or do you like to see me cleaning up after you?

First she tries to eat the food from her dish.

That doesn't always work, so she grabs the food with her paw and flips it out onto the floor. Sometimes she'll eat it...most times she won't.
Unless it's baby food (with her medicine in it). Then it's gone.

Hello my fans. Henry here. My birthday is sometime in October, so my humans celebrated it this past weekend. I am now 5 years old!

Emma got me some tinkle balls. As you can see here, I wasn't in the mood to play with them.Evan got me a "Thing In A Bag". Rosie was more impressed with it than I was.
The laser light didn't cut it either, but Rosie seems to like it..Rosie even tried to eat the laser light! Silly Sister.
