ManCat Monday with Henry
Window whiffing is a great pass time. You can smell birdies, nasty squirrels, and wild rabbits. Mommy has had the ac on most of the time (she hates sticky weather) and these fun times have been curtailed. (Ha get it? Curled tail! I kill my self sometimes!)
So, it has been less of this.....
and more of this.
Blue Monday with our Hostess, SallyWe're back in Santa's Village in New Hampshire for my blues for this week.
This stove is at Santa's Village in Santa's house.
My mother said she grew up with a stove like this in her home, only it was much larger. My Grandmother didn't have all these fancy decorations, as they were so poor. So, she used to cut up newspapers to look like doilies. She was a very creative woman.

Yup, it's been a/c weather here for quite a while too, but we got to have the windows open for a day and a half this weekend cuz our a/c quit working!!!!! The beans were miserable but us boys loved the open windows!!!!!! You're looking mighty handsome, Henry.

Your Grandmother was very inventive with her newspaper. We get to go outside so we get plenty of fresh air whiffing.
It's a little cooler here - only in the 80s instead of the 90s- the past few days.
We hate the ac too, we get cold with it on. Hopefully you will be back to bird watching soon. Love the stove!

No a.c. here so we have fans all around moving the air. Everybody is getting new things to whiff. Too many skeeters here with the heat so the cats have to put up with dogs in the house more hours on end.
Mrs. Claus knows how to make a blue statement!

I loved seeing that old blue stove. We had one similar, but it was not blue. I cannot remember my mother using newspapers. Probably because we did have any back then.

The open windows are more whiffable when it's cooler out - it doesn't smell quite as good when it's hot here - so I don't mind air conditioning.

Here we've been married for over 16 years and I didn't know you were so good at puns (curtailed - curled tail :-) until you started this blog. Of course you "got" this particular pun from Henry but it's also important for a writer to recognize a good line and when to "borrow" it.
